Trivia you didn’t ask for: There’s a broadcasting tower much like this one pretty close to where I live. When it’s very windy, I can hear it whistling. I was living on the other side of town when I wrote the story, but I moved back here before I finished it.
But it wasn’t living in the tower’s shadow that sparked the story, really. More likely, it was being annoyed with radio.
